- Main Ingredients
- Active ingredient: Tilmicosin, with a content of 25%.
- Characteristics: This product is a pale yellow to amber clear liquid.
- Pharmacological Action
- Tilmicosin exerts its antibacterial effect by binding to the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes, thereby inhibiting peptide chain elongation and protein synthesis in bacteria. It is effective against a wide range of pathogens, including Gram-positive bacteria, certain Gram-negative bacteria, mycoplasma, and spirochetes. Compared to tylosin, tilmicosin demonstrates stronger activity against Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella, and mycoplasma in livestock and poultry.

Indications

For the treatment and control of respiratory diseases in chickens caused by infections with Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae.

Also used for the prevention and treatment of pneumonia in livestock caused by infections with Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella, Mycoplasma, and other pathogens.
- Usage and Dosage

Chickens: Daily dose, 15 - 20 mg per 1 kg of body weight. For drinking water administration: Add 75 mg to 1 L of water, for 3 consecutive days.

Pigs: For the prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases, calculate the dose based on body weight. Typically, add the appropriate amount of the drug to 1 L of water, for 3 - 5 consecutive days.
- Precautions

Do not use concurrently with other macrolides or lincosamides.

Antagonism may occur when used in combination with β-lactam antibiotics.

This product is for oral administration only; injection is prohibited.

Horses and other equids must not have access to drinking water containing tilmicosin.

Do not use in laying hens during the egg-laying period.

Adjust the dosage based on the results of antimicrobial susceptibility testing.

Tilmicosin is irritating to the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes; wear protective gear when handling.
